We have solidified our performance dates with the school district. There are some slight changes but most of it has remained the same. Check under performance dates for the minor change. Thank you Joel P. Jensen Middle School for working with us in finding a suitable schedule.
Rehearsal Schedule for Tarzan
The Rehearsal Schedule will be posted here in a week by week basis. Please pay attention to this website on a regular basis to find out if your child needs to be at rehearsal. This allows the director to decide which scenes will need the most work. All rehearsals will be held at where auditions were held until it is time to move into the venue.
A quick note: We will plan on having production meetings after play practices on Tuesday. Except when there is a WJYT Board Meeting (First Tuesday of every month). This will involve anyone who is over a particular area: Props Manager, Head Costumer, Set Manager, etc.
Missing rehearsals not only hurts your child, it also hurts the entire cast. We have little time at rehearsals and we need to use it to continue moving forward. We cannot take the time to go back and teach children what they missed that day. It is the child’s responsibility to get with another cast member to learn what they missed.

3:00 – 4:30* – Jane and Cats
4:30 – 6:00* – Apes, Birds, Kala, Terk and Tarzan
*End times are approximate. We will try our best to release the cast at the given times. However, sometimes things might last longer so we can get through it and move on. Cast members are not excused until the director releases them.
Any breaks take the time to go over lines this is the last day to memorize. I will be pulling kids aside if I have time to work on scenes Bring things to do as well for down time.

October 2, 2014 – Rehearsal is at WJ City Hall
October 4, 2014 - Rehearsal is at Joel P. Jensen Middle School. From this point on, excluding October 17, 2014, all rehearsals will be at the school. Stage Crew should start showing up at this time.
October 13-16, 2014 - This is tech week. Rehearsal is longer on this days as adding in tech, sound and lights will take time.
October 17, 2014 - Rehearsal held at WJ City Hall
October 18, 2014 - Performances begin with a matinee at Joel P. Jensen Middle School.
Tech Week: October 13, 14, 15 and 16
These rehearsals are from 4:30-7:30
Performance Dates: October 18, 20, 21*, 24, 25 and 27 with matinees and night performances on the October 18 and 25.
Performance call times are at 5:30 for the evening performances and 12:30 for the matinees. There will likely be an hour break between the matinee and the night performances on Saturdays. Cast Members and Stage Crew will be responsible for their own meals during this break. Cast Members will need to be out of costume to eat and will need to touch up their makeup once they return.
*The school couldn’t accommodate Friday, October 17, 2014 for a performance. To maintain an 8 performance night and 4 performances for those parts double casted, we were able to secure Tuesday, October 21, 2014 for a performance. Friday, October 17, 2014 will still hold a rehearsal at WJ City Hall so plan on that as well. This change will make the matinee on Saturday, October 18, 2014 our opening performance.
‘Tarzan’ will be directed by Celeste Stone, Assistant Director of ‘Anne of Green Gables’ and ‘Sleepy Hollow: A Musical Tale’.
We are looking for volunteers 18 and older. Areas we are looking for include Props Manager, Costumer, Set Construction Crew, etc. Please email us at email@example.com if you have skills in these areas or any skills you are able to contribute to theatre.
