Dragon Queen & Bout at the Bridge – Spring 2008
Bout at the Bridge, a funny twist on a couple of classic fairy tales by Tyler Madsen, winner in the Youth category for the West Jordan Arts Council’s Playwriting Contest. Madsen, 16, also cast and directed the play.
The Dragon Queen, played by Brittny Millington, was written and directed by WJArt’s adult-category play writing contest winner Dodi Weiler. Six-year-old Savannah Short played a young royal child who sets off on a journey with her bodyguard-companion, played by CJ Madsen, to break a 300-year-old spell on the royal bloodline and to restore a queen to her throne.
Both shows were performed together at the Sugar Factory Playhouse.
